Choosing a freight company is about more than moving freight from Point A to Point B. The right transportation partner helps keep your business running smoothly, protects your products, and gives you confidence that your shipments will arrive safely and on time.
With so many options available, here are a few key qualities to consider when choosing a freight provider.
Experience Matters
A company with a long history has likely encountered every type of shipping challenge and developed the expertise to handle them effectively.
Since 1964, Jay’s Transportation Group has been helping businesses move freight throughout Saskatchewan and beyond, earning a reputation for dependable service and reliability.
A Strong Network
Your freight provider should have the reach and infrastructure to deliver where your business needs it most.
Jay’s services more than 550 points across Saskatchewan and works with trusted partners to move freight throughout Canada, helping ensure consistent service no matter the destination.
Safety and Proper Handling
When you hand over your freight, you’re trusting a carrier to protect it every step of the journey.
Look for a company that prioritizes employee training, equipment maintenance, and safe handling practices. Jay’s maintains a 99.95% cargo claim-free delivery ratio and is proud to be CoR certified, demonstrating our commitment to safety and quality service.
Clear Communication
A trusted freight partner keeps customers informed, provides timely updates, and responds quickly when questions arise. Good communication helps prevent surprises and keeps shipments moving smoothly.
Today’s customers also expect visibility into their shipments. With Jay’s convenient online tracking, customers can quickly check shipment status, GPS location, proof of delivery, and more using a Bill Number or Bill of Lading. No login is required, making it easier than ever to stay informed from pickup to delivery.
Reliability You Can Count On
At the end of the day, trust is earned through consistent performance. Look for a carrier that follows through on its commitments, stands behind its service, and values long-term customer relationships.
For more than 62 years, Jay’s Transportation Group has built its reputation on these principles, helping businesses across Saskatchewan ship with confidence.
